Groups
Groups let you run more than one copy trading setup at the same time. A group is one leader account and the followers that copy it. Every account belongs to at most one group, so a trade can never be copied twice.
How Groups Work
Each group is an independent copy trading unit: one leader, its followers, and nothing else. Trades in one group never affect another group.
An account can only be in one group at a time. To move an account between groups, remove it from its current group first, then add it to the new one.
The group's leader and followers are configured on the Trading Floor, not on the Groups page. The Groups page manages which accounts belong to which group.
Creating a Group
Groups are created from the Groups page under Copy Trading.
Create a group
- Click Create Group in the top right of the Groups page.
- Name the group and check the accounts that should belong to it. Accounts are listed by broker connection, and each connection has a select-all checkbox.
- Accounts that already belong to another group appear grayed out. Remove them from their current group first if you want them here.
- Click Create Group. The new group starts without a leader.
- Open the Trading Floor, select the group, and use Change Leader to pick its leader. Then enable followers as usual.
Switching Groups on the Trading Floor
When you have more than one group, or any ungrouped accounts, a group selector appears above the Trading Floor grid. The floor shows one group at a time: its leader, its followers, their positions, and their open orders.
Change Leader, Enable All, and Disable All apply to the group you are viewing. Flatten Group closes all positions and open orders for the accounts in the selected group only. Flatten All always closes everything across every account, regardless of which group you are viewing.
Pausing a Group
The Status switch on the Groups page pauses and resumes copying for the whole group. Turning it off stops every follower in the group from copying. Turning it back on restores exactly the followers the switch paused. A follower you toggled off individually stays off.
The switch is disabled until the group has a leader.
Ungrouped Accounts
Accounts that do not belong to any group appear under the Ungrouped view in the Trading Floor's group selector. You can watch their positions and flatten them, but they cannot lead or follow until you add them to a group.
Newly connected accounts start ungrouped. Add them to a group from the Groups page to include them in copy trading.
Editing and Deleting Groups
Use Manage on a group's row to rename it or change its members. Removing an account from a group deletes its follow settings, and removing the leader stops copying for the whole group until a new leader is chosen.
Accounts with open positions or working orders cannot be removed from a group. Close the positions and cancel the orders first. The same guard applies to deleting a group.
Deleting a group stops copying for its followers and returns its accounts to the ungrouped state. The accounts themselves are not deleted or disconnected.
