Risk Management

Risk Management lets you lock trading accounts on a timer or by market session. A locked account stops copying the leader and flattens any new incoming positions until the lock expires.

How Locking Works

Locking an account pauses copy trading on that account for the duration of the lock. Any new positions sent by the leader are flattened at market instead of being copied.

When the lock ends, whether it expires naturally or you cancel it early, the account's copy trading state is restored automatically. You do not need to re-enable anything.

A locked account shows a lock icon in the status column on both the Risk Management page and the Trading Floor.

You can lock one account, multiple accounts at once, or all accounts at once.

The Table

Each row is one broker connection. Click the chevron on a row to expand it and see the subaccounts underneath that connection.

Each subaccount row shows: Account Name, Balance, Platform (Live or Demo), Status, and a checkbox for selection.

The status column shows one of three states: Unlocked (green lock icon), Scheduled (amber, a lock is coming), or Locked (red, actively locked with a live countdown).

The icon in the second column of a subaccount row shows whether the account is a Leader (crown), a Follower (person icon), or neither.

You can drag broker rows by the grip handle on the left to reorder them.

Locking Accounts

Select one or more subaccounts using their checkboxes, then click the Lock button in the top-right of the table.

The Lock modal offers two categories: Session Lockout and Timer Lockout.

Session Lockout locks the account for a specific trading session: Asia, London, or New York. If the session is currently active, the lock starts immediately. If not, it is scheduled to start when that session opens.

Timer Lockout locks the account for a fixed duration: 30 mins, 1 hour, 3 hours, or Until Next Market Open.

The modal shows a preview of the exact unlock time before you confirm.

Locked and scheduled accounts cannot be selected for a new lock. Their checkboxes are disabled.

Select subaccounts with their checkboxes, then use the Lock button.

Lock one or more accounts

  1. Open Risk Management from the sidebar under Copy Trading.
  2. Click the chevron on a broker row to expand it and see its subaccounts.
  3. Check the checkbox on each subaccount you want to lock. To select all subaccounts under a broker, check the checkbox on the broker row itself.
  4. Click Lock in the top-right of the table.
  5. Choose a Session Lockout (Asia, London, or New York) or a Timer Lockout (30 mins, 1 hour, 3 hours, or Until Next Market Open).
  6. Review the unlock time shown in the preview, then click Lock Account to confirm.

Locking a Leader

If you lock an account that is currently set as the leader on the Trading Floor, a confirmation dialog appears first.

The dialog shows which follower accounts will be unlinked while the lock is active.

Followers are not permanently removed. They are re-linked automatically when the lock ends.

Click Lock leader to confirm, or Cancel to go back.

Scheduled Locks

A session lock that starts in the future appears as a Scheduled status on the subaccount row.

You can cancel a scheduled lock before it activates. Click the scheduled status badge on the subaccount row to open a popover with a Cancel option.

You can also cancel all scheduled locks across all accounts at once from the same popover.

Click the scheduled status on a subaccount row to cancel it.

Cancel a scheduled lock

  1. Expand the broker row to see subaccounts.
  2. Find the subaccount showing a Scheduled status.
  3. Click the Scheduled status badge to open the popover.
  4. Click Cancel to cancel just that account, or Cancel all to remove all scheduled locks.
